The study of how the earth moves and interlinks IS fascinating. I've lived in earthquake countries most all my life. Japan, and CA. The only way USGS can even begin to predict these movements, is through gaining more data -- and even then, they cannot predict!

My favorite earthquake experiences are OUT of doors! The trees resemble pompoms bouncing around.
