Confiscate their property? Wouldn't that be a gross violation of their constitutional rights?

Totalitarianism here we come.

The fedgov confiscates property all the time.

Why should businesses which break the law and employ cut-rate illegal alien laborers be exempt?

For some reason, very intelligent folks turn into total psychos when they hear anthing that has to do with Mexicans. I mean, geez, people said the same thing about the Irish in the 19th century. Said they'd over run us, that they were all lazy crimals. They'd ruin the country!

Well, the Irish didn't ruin the country, though proportionally more Irish came to our nation than Mexicans during that time. The only difference I can tell is that lots more people have family names that start with O', and we probably drink a bit more than we used to. Mexicans aren't that different from those Irish immigrants, except that they have more of a language barrier to overcome.

Personally, I don't give a hoot about what color my great to the nth grankids are, or how many tacos they eat, as long as their free.

It doesn't seem to be a problem when citizens' property is confiscated in the WOD. Or when citizens' property is confiscated when they are caught soliciting a prostitute. Why should it be a problem if illegals' property is confiscated?

The real solution, however, is to eliminate the incentives to come here. Eliminate free medical care, free education anchor babies, federal & state handouts & begin to severely punish employers. Implement these & the illegals will stop streaming over the border & a significant number of them already here will go back.

The IRS already confiscates property for far less a legitimate reason.

If these scoff-law bozos hire ILLEGAL, anonymous "workers," who put US security at risk, then so be it.

It happens to convicts all the time. Why should those convicted of hiring illegals be exempt? Because they're good loyal Republican johns?... er, donors?

These people didnt come here with a grand piano on their back or a trans am in their nap sack when they snuck in... They got them while residing, illegally, in our country.

They should be booted out with whatever they can stuff under their own arms. Im done with these illegals.

I find this statement incredible. I agree 100% that this can never apply if the employer is diligent and only prevented from knowing that he is hiring an illegal by other federal, state or local law.

Otherwise there is no excuse. Don't like the penalty? Don't do the crime. Every law on the books has the potential for abuse and/or misapplication.

The taxpayers in areas of high immigration are having their property --- their hard earned money --- confiscated at an increasingly ridiculous rate to pay for the free education and healthcare of the cheap slaves that others want to bring in. Property taxes are extremely high here and about to go up $1000 or more for the average type person. It's totalitarian already when the government must take $4000 to $5000 a year on just a cheap house or it slaps a lien on it and penalties that make it impossible to keep your house.
