" No one will be opening a hot war on our soil lest they risk becoming a glowing wasteland for 5000 years, so other than terrorism, the homeland doesn't need defending from armies.

There won't be a draft either unless some nutcase lobs a kilotoner+ in our direction."

I agree. I suspect we could remove all reserves from Europe and Japan without any consequence as well.

My own guess would be that the Israelis will not have to go it alone. It's one of those operations that must succeed; my own guess is that we will ensure its success.

It'd be too messy to do together, especially since we can handle it alone, which will give us a good reason to clean up the mess.

Besides, if we do it together and the enemy nukes Tel Aviv, we will be blamed.

Tell the Israelis that they should take care of it. Let them do it. They have much more to lose in this present window of opportunity, so they will make sure it's done right.

Probably better to revert to an air war over Iran. Just bomb strategic targets.

They had their chance to overthrow the Islamonazis, but the timing was wrong, or they just didn't have the will or support. ( Imagine if France and Germany had supported such-- may piss be upon them! )

If the EU had supported this global movement to erradicate the Islamic threat, all would be well now. I forever curse the ground they walk on. And I've met many of them personally, too.

Free Republic has increasingly become a forum where discussion and debate is no longer allowed. It's rather sad.

But it's always been that way, monday. Debate is allowed, but it doesn't mean we have to tolerate idiot Liberals. If we were forced to, there would be no more FR. It's a club, not a government sponsored debating society. Please get this!

ugh...I know it isn't government sponsored. Thank God it isn't. It used to be that if an argument was idiotic, it would be shot down with logic though. These days anyone who advances an unpopular argument is immediately labeled a TROLL and the admin moderator is summoned to ZOT them.

A TROLL is someone who calls other posters names and denigrates their intentions, with the hope of provoking rage. It is not someone with a different opinion.

Since I was NOT addressing any comment to You...

WHY do You feel it necessary to sit on this thread and CORRECT everyone elses views and comments?

And then get the Administrator involved too!

OVER NOTHING!

And just where IS...2Fast4u?!

Guess...He Crawled back under the rock he slithered out from to start this.

I will FINISH it by saying...I've been here at FR for a Long Time and I Know a Demon-Rat TROLL (NOT a Nasty Name...A WELL EARNED TITLE!) when I smell one.

I am simply pointing out the truth. S o r r y if it offends you.

2fast4u got his posting privileges revoked because you and a few others on this thread feel threatened anytime someone disagrees with your view of the world. You didn't debate him, you just called him names and denigrated his motives for posting.

I am not correcting anyones views or comments, and it was not me who got the administrator involved. Indie was the one who called admin.

I sense a sort of gang mentality where if one person calls a person who posts something you don't agree with a "troll", it emboldens others until there is a pack of posters not even attempting to debate the poster but simply calling him names. It is the sort of response you might expect from someplace like DU not FR.

I have been here a long time too, and I have seen many heated debates, but I have never seen so many people, so quick to call someone a 'troll' and try to get them kicked off before. It is an act of desperation, as if you don't have an answer for the questions he raised.

Hardly an..."ACT of Desperation."

Are You having a Bad PMS Day Dear?

Maybe you need to take a Tea Break, then lay down for a while.

I'm Praying for You.

PS: Don't Worry about The US MILITARY.

The US MILITARY IS STRONG, POWERFUL and ON DUTY 24X7 and as long as President George W. Bush is The COMMANDER IN CHIEF...

We Americans have NOTHING to Worry About, We Are Very, Very Well Protected!

I can Sleep Safe, Sound and FREE in my Comfortable Bed at night and so can YOU...

Because BRAVE AMERICANS: Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard ARE ON DUTY PROTECTING US FROM THE EVIL ISLAMA-NAZIS who want to KILL ALL OF US.

JUST BE THANKFUL FOR THEM AND SAY A PRAYER FOR THEM TOO.

Oh yeah, no problem...

The Vanguard Class SSBN (Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear) provides the United Kingdom's strategic and sub-strategic nuclear deterrent.

http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/static/pages/4179.html

Trident D5 missiles A credible nuclear deterrent depends upon the ability to threaten an assured and effective response to aggression. The Trident II D5 missile has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles and an accuracy, which can be measured in metres. Each missile is technically capable of delivering up to 12 warheads, enabling a number of different targets to be engaged, and each Vanguard class submarine has 16 missile tubes....Aptly named as well...

Maybe. I think the Russian bear is in a heap of trouble and waking it up this way (beslan) is going to be scary for all of us.

"Actually, Iran does not have to conquer Russia, they are working side by side."

I know.. But Beslan, like 9-1-1, may have changed all that.

We can only hope.

Yes they can but I expect Israel will get there first should it be neccessary. That would be the logic in the hope that any further military action would be kept localised . Anyway the Israeli's ain't stupid they been planning for this for years. The Iranians..well perhaps a little stupid but not absolutly effin mad .They are well aware that the consequences of slinging nukes about would be their total anhialation

They might reach London. Once. Only once.
