I really can't figure him out. Sometimes he is pretty decent and other times he is a total pig.
I'm wondering if he finally got around to reading O'Neill's book. He shoots off his mouth before he knows what he's talking about. I know he didn't read Malkin's book.

He was polite, asked intelligent questions, actually listened to the answers before asking another question, no spittle, no vituperation - it was like the man I used to enjoy watching so long ago.
I think Chrissy figured out he can't go up in the ratings without some conservative viewership. We were all leaving in droves from his rants. He also sees a vulnerability in O'Reilly's ratings. Thanks for the tip about the program. I never turn on Chrissy any more but he was fair to O'Neill and let him talk.

Thanks to you guys here for the heads up on this. I tuned in just in time for the last bit of it. Matthews mentioned he has two brothers who are/or have been in the Navy. He treated Oneil with respect and let him have his say.
Somebody has gotten the message across to him that he has been a jerk and that his ratings were in the tank where they belonged because of HIS own actions.
I think it has something to do with the malaria he had (sarcasm).
John O'Neill taught at Holy Cross ROTC, and had both of Chris's brothers in his class.
My guess would be that Chrissie's brothers had a heart to heart with Chris. (His brothers are Republicans.)

I think Matthew's has given up on Kerry. You can tell he's pretty digusted with him. Did you see him give a soundbite about the latest political ads in he segment before O'Neil. He knows Kerry is full of crap on Iraq.
Did anyone else here the quick defense of Kerry's Paris meeting that guy gave when they showed the Swiftie ad. Please post details/counter.
