The distinction is that the case for Lockhart lying is much stronger with Burkett saying Lockhart did talk to him about the documents when Lockhart denied he had.

Anybody can see the entire Mapes, Lockhart and Burkett connection is both fishy and an absolute breach of journalistic ethics by Mapes, but the case would have been stronger if the Burkett angle had held.

but thats my point...I think Lockhart DID talk to him about the documents and thats what Burkette meant.. that Lockhart was trying to tell him the reasons to turn the documents over to them (BEING CBS) ... The MSM is picking up on the wrong thing .. they are saying "THEM" is LOCKHART... its clear Lockhart was TALKING to him about the memos..
