CBS still hasn't admitted that the documents were forged. They have a lot of backing down to do still.

Moreover, unlike the other episodes that are cited, this was NOT just CBS. It was also the DNC and the Kerry campaign, with connections to writes at the NY Times, to Democratic Senators, and probably to the Washington Compost whose story we are now reading.

It was just the opening gun in a long-planned October Surprise campaign that has now gone off the rails. Hundreds of people were probably implicated in it.

I accept Dan Rather's apology and he should stay on at CBS to cover other election stories.

For example, why didn't George Bush fly to the moon with Neil Armstrong in 1969? Did he miss the physical? What about Apollo 13? Was George Bush on that flight and try to sabotage it? What about Kerry's flying dog "VC"? Did George Bush run it over while flying his jet?
