Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You have spared the lives of this beloved mother-in-law and beloved son. We surround them both with fervent prayer for complete healing, O God.
Grant complete success to the surgeons involved ... strengthen this dear woman with the ability to again breathe on her own ... bring her out of her coma into the warmth and love of her family, I pray. Knit again the bones of Glenn's son and bless him with an ability to heal beyond all expectations. Speak words of reassurance and comfort to the families, for great is their trial, but greater are You, O God. Lead them through this time of darkness into the Sonlight of Your love. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Thanks for your prayers. Keep them coming. They are working, I really believe.
My son is coming around. Still a couple of obstacles in his way, including a long road of PT ahead of him once he leaves the hospital. He can't urinate on his own yet. That's a problem the doctors are also wrestling with.
His brother came in last night. I hadn't seen my sons together since last Thanksgiving. Even in unfortunate circumstances, it's a real joy to see them.
My MIL went back into surgery to try to relieve some of the pressure on her brain again. She is stable but still comatose.
Now that I know my son is okay, I have to try to fly home tomorrow so my wife can get to NYC to be with her mother. Will be back online after that.
Thank you all and regards,
Glenn

It's been a rough couple of months. My wife's family (4 sisters and a father) overruled my wife yesterday after long discussions. They are going to have my mother-in-law's feeding tube removed. She's healthy but still in a coma. Her EEG and CT Scans have not changed since the first ones they performed in NY and the doctors simply don't expect her to ever wake up. Her father will meet with an attorney at 6 PM today to make the arrangements.
My wife is completely devastated. She's such a devout Catholic woman and her priest has advised her that removing the tube is not approved of as it is not an "extraordinary" measure to keep her Mum alive.
Please pray that my wife can get through this. She's a fine woman and I hate to see her so in agony.
An update on my son -- he is still in PT to get his leg straightened out. His ankle and knee are the sticking points. His femur is healing well.
Thanking you in advance.
