Too true, and I will not totally disagree with the first comments.

FR is pretty rambunctious at times, and very much so for a new user. This does not make it any less valuable, informative and addicting, once you get past the initial shock.

Besides, compared to DU, this place is a tranquil haven of reason, order and civility.

Last's initial discription is accurate from a "fist visit to free republic" point of view, IMHO. I was very pleased with his summary analysis of the story, detailing the guts and debunking the nuts. (DU: Karl Rove Did it!!!!)
