Statement from the General President Regarding the Events in Huntington, WV
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades believes in the fundamental right for civil discourse, freedom of speech and activism to support our candidates and issues. What happened in Huntington, West Virginia yesterday is an affront to everything we, as a union, pride ourselves to represent. We extend our apologies to the Parlock family, especially Sophia, for the distress one of our overzealous members caused them.
I have personally taken steps to address this issue internally, and will take immediate disciplinary action to the full extent allowed under U.S. Department of Labor regulations and the constitution of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
It is my hope that this incident reminds all of our members that every last citizen in this country has the right to express his or herself freely. Not one single one of us has the right to tell them otherwise.
General President James A. Williams

You done good Jimmy. When the Union gets through with him, let's all see that he pays for each felony under both state and Federal laws, that he committed in front of the whole world.

Message from Iraq
The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country." Semper Fi 1stSgt Dave Jobe

And the circus performers over at DU are in total denial. They are probably calling Phil a DINO.

One Freeper in pajamas can make a difference...We might call it the pajama effect.
When lefties actually think they have to act civilized out of fear that the pajama people might be watching.

President Williams refers to this thug as an "overzealous member". Love that.

"That's ridiculous. This is a small town," Parlock told me from his home in Huntington, W. Virginia. "Everyone would recognize him." Anybody from a small town would instantly know the whole set-up idea was a crock.
Leftist bloggers have proved they are not part of the New Media, since the Media Revolution has an elective affinity to fact-based political philosophies, as opposed to the intellectual kin of oliver Stone and Michael Moore.

The apology should be after the goon apologizes for his actions. It easy for the head of this union to issue a broad apology and say he will take action. A real apology from the union would be for them to serve this goon up to the press and take responsibility for his actions. This would also derail the DUers "Rather" defense!

Yes he could have just tried to spin it - good point. I am pleased that Mr. Williams put a definite statement out there regarding their stance.

IUPAT members, by the way, were involved in a previous sign-tearing incident involving Parlock and his family, according to Parlock.
