Still, after [Lincoln]'d thumped their tails, and reacquired all the land they'd stolen from the United States, he was willing to let them reclaim their patrimony. They shot him for that. Ingrates.

Sheesh, and you Yankees tell us to get over it! What have you got to be so bitter about, 140 years after the fact? Let it go. . .

Your interlocutor is posting from Indiana. Usually Indianans are better-disposed, and certainly better-mannered, than this guy, who by his demeanor is probably from someplace like New York or New Jersey. Just a WAG.

He probably has a complex psych history and profile, which being nice people we don't want to get into judging, so just ignore him and eventually he'll go off and micturate on something else.

it has been my long-held belief that the mass of damnyankees are IGNORANT. that ignorance of FACTS is what makes them hold their ANTI-southern PREJUDICES!
