Yes she did, but the Devil Dogs don't accept dogs.

Hillary admited as much and said she was considered too ugly to join the Marines.

I think that Hillary quote got garbled. I think she said she once got "porked in a Marina."

Edmund Hillary was not mentioned in the Chicago Tribune in 1947 and the first mention of him in the New York Times did not occur until 1953. Seems as if peacocks, Hillary, Dan and J effing K, think alike.
