Ah, the old feminist argument - men just don't "feel" as deeply as women do. Fathers don't care if their kids die as long as it doesn't interfere with their football watching schedule, while mothers who can't get their fill of newscameras mourn "authentically."

No one is expecting joy from a grieving mother - but her son deserves respect, not treason, in her grief.
She will mourn as she pleases no matter what you have to say about it.

She may be scum - many people are, she is dishonoring her son. However, she is still his mother and since when do we attack a dead soldier's mother?
Out of respect for the soldier and out of respect for the price that family has paid, I will not attack the mother. And, I will not go about "judging" the actions of other parents of dead soldiers.
Do you really think that soldier would be glad to hear that people were treating his mother that way? NO? Then why in the heck do it - unless of course it makes YOU feel better.

Somehow I don't recall mothers of the WWII era pulling stunts like this when FDR was campaigning. And this was during the draft, not today's volunteer military. If you know that the military is there to "kill people and break things" (Rush's definition), then you must accept that your son/husband who joins may have to fight and die. Don't act surprised when it happens. Reality bites.
