I hope she can just stay at the airport until a flight is available. Expect cancellations with no warning or explanation, that is par for the post disaster course. But she has to be at the airport to grab the unexpectedly available seats. The airport will also be safer, since the corporate airline employees will be "authority figures" and the closest to cops she is likely to see. Looters will avoid the airport, which is one of the places likely to have cops. And it will probably have drinking water and some basic food available. A few hard days, then they're out, and you can take them out to fancy restaurants.
Good idea except there's no "airport" building now.
It is closed and inoperable. I reckon they've
shut it so the Free Port businesses won't be looted.
They are boarding in the hangars... (note I spelled hangar correctly..LOL).
In other words, there is no place to "sit to wait" for
flights. I will call Delta in the morning.. and if
their flight is going into Cayman as scheduled, then
I will notify Debra to hurry to the airport to catch
her flight.
Otherwise, it is too dangerous to venture out on the road
just to be turned back should the flight be cancelled again.
The thugs are robbing passers-by.
