As I posted on another thread, the Brownwood paper in a very recent article describes barnes as a "former resident" of that town.

It appears this might even implicate USA Today because they too refuse to disclose who their source was. Maybe they can get a person at the Kinkos from where this "memo" was faxed. He wouldn't be obliged to keep silent, unless, of course he was a "Fairy Kerry" supporter.

I think it's a rule that Kinko's will ONLY hire left wing loonies. As I said, in all my years in advertising and graphic design I have NEVER met a kinko's employee that wasn't a moonlighting left wing fruitcake.

Kinkos made it's fortune as Mac central, with half of their customers using the place to print out flyers for Rave parties, thie punk bands, mosh pits, flyers for left wing causes and collateral materials for ad campaigns. Let me tell you there are NOT many conservatives in the fine or commercial arts.

Shermy, look at this article I found today:

I clicked your link and read the first few sentences but didn't read replies so don't know if you noticed---that article is from the very day the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth held their first press conference. May 4, 2004.

Most Kinkos I have seen have computers and printers right in there for customer use...

Think maybe he fabricated them right there on the spot, printed them... copied them a few times, then faxed them?

Is there any way we can get those computers impounded? A careful examination of the hard drives might result in some interesting clues.

I didn't make that connection.

What I was reading was the general tone......it almost laid the groundwork for the memos.......you know, ask some question and -- bingo -- we have a memo!

I first fingered Barnes. (I asked freep to retract that post after this article just came up since I dont want to falsely accuse ANYONE.) Now it might be a toss up. Since I shouldnt be in the speculation business it's really nice that SOMEONE is doing some investigative journalism besides us. If the Washington Post indeed breaks this story they will win the subscription lottery and the respect they will have from all honest Americans will be....priceless.

So Dan Rather actually believed that Bill Burkette found these documents in the trash can back in 1997 and have been saving them for 7 years? He's not that dumb is he?
