So, what's up with the International Jewish Conspiracy? (I know that it's been proven that The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion are a forgery, but according to Dan Rather logic that doesn't discredit the truth of the contents....)

Well it is not always very powerful, I just read a DU statement that said "We have to defend the truth, even if it is a minor truth" speaking of Dan's memogate.
Minor truth are sort of weak. Major truths are powerful....
LIBERALS ARE INSANE.
It is becoming clearer by the day. It is either CBS News or Rather. The longer they stay with Rather on this thing--an obvious fraud to all--the more liklely it is that CBS will be abandoned. The culture there must be so insular that they have no idea about what is taking place in offices around the country (if mine is any example). To a person, the documents, and hence the story itself, are viewed as fraudulent. People aren't focusing so much on who staged the story (or why), but rather why CBS continues to defend that which they view as indefensible. I am talking about a complete consensus by both liberals and conservatives.
This phenomenon is cutting across party lines. It is a very sobbering epiphany for a lot of people: that a respected national news organization would not come clean on these facts.
Based on the chatter where I am, this will not die. The longer it goes on unresolved, the more it gets talked about. It is no longer about Kerry or Bush, but about Dan Rather and CBS.
Zebra, my office is the same as yours. We all had a good laugh today at the Nixonesque caricature of Rather saying "Our news is not a crock!"
I wonder what the commoners are doing now. I'm thinking of firing the gardeners just for spite.

Well, it NOW looks like Rather, instead of fabricating the news, is, himself, the news. How does it feel, Dan, to be on the OTHER side of an investigation? This reminds me of the movie, with Paul Newman, "Absence of Malice"

John Kerry and John Edwards arrived in Boston today for the Democratic National Convention, so did the California man who is their single biggest contributor. "We can identify who the big donors are, but how much do we really know about any of them?" he said.
In fact, Democratic Party officials said they knew nothing about the man who law enforcement officials tell ABC News is Bing's friend and business partner — Dominic Montemarano, a New York Mafia figure currently in federal prison on racketeering charges. Montemarano has a long criminal record and is known to organized crime investigators by his street name, Donnie Shacks. "Donnie Shacks' main activity was murder. No question about it. That was his main function for the Colombo family and for organized crime in general. He was one of the top hit men in the New York area," said Joe Coffey, a former NYPD investigator.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Bing paid Montemarano's legal fees after his most recent scrape with the law. Montemerano's lawyer said his client was an employee of Bing's.
After a recent private lunch with Democratic vice-presidential candidate Edwards, Bing also declined to answer questions about his relationship with Montemarano. The American people have a right to know who's funding their presidential candidates and their parties," Lewis said. Hillary must be right there is a Great Right Wing Conspiracy (GRWC). You can see the black helicopters from Dan's office. They are marked GRWC on the undercarriage. They are coming to take Dan away. They have a jacket for Dan, and it has long sleeves and straps.
