WHO CARES what the Europeans think? The reason Kerry continues to slide so precipitously is that regular, everyday Americans, more and more, are starting to wake up and say "WHO CARES about Europe?" Europe is a dying continent (except perhaps for our good friends in Poland). Most of Europe is about 20 years away from becoming a Muslim satrapy -- and, defying all logic, they seem to be inviting this future with a stupefying naivete that boggles the imagination.
Although a lot of people (including me) disagree with a lot of Pat Buchanan's foreign policy ideas, one has to wonder if Pat's got the right idea: "seal off" the U.S. for a while, and let the rest of the world flounder their way for a period of chastisement.... I really do believe that we are living out some of the characterizations and mindsets that were depicted in Atlas Shrugged. And thankfully, the U.S. -- despite the problems on which we still need to work -- still seems to have a large (and growing) number of John Galts and Dagny Taggarts, willing to fight the good fight.
