What a great read!!!!!!!!!!
How beautiful......brought tears to my eyes.
Good morning Mama Bear!!!!!
Thank you for the touching post...
LOL!!! Spoken like a truly frazzled mother! Been there, done that!
Now, with all your "free time", you will surely be wanting to jump right into compiling some information and graphics for our Delaware presentation, huh? ;-)
Not exactly, but I will start working on it. Can you give me a few ideas of what it is you are looking for?
Just teasing. There really is no hurry. I have about 24 other states that I can work on. Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can.
Can you give me a few ideas of what it is you are looking for?
Okay. When I set out to present a state I try to keep it positive and upbeat, regardless of it's politics. (It was really a challenge with CA. LOL!) I research a little of the history, then the things that make the state unique, also what's to see and do there. I also look for graphics and photos to include, the states symbols, etc. Then I compile it all together like a travel brochure. That's about it.
As I said, there really isn't any hurry. Since you know Delaware so well, you would have a better idea where to start, and you can do as much or as little as you want. Any help is greatly appreciated. :-)

Good morning to *you*, favorite fuzzy. : )
Upbeat and positive.........you don't understand, I was DESPERATE to escape!!!!!!
Currently nearly the entire state is mired in horrendous scandals........from the smallest municipalities all the way up to the Governor's office; and the Republicans are more left leaning than the democrats.......
Positive and upbeat????? ROFLMAO!!!!!
OTOH I was heaped with praise and accolades by the state tourism office back when I was a reporter for a series of stories I did when they had launched a new state tourism slogan - so I am very familiar with things to do and see there.
Okay, brace yerself wolfie. Here come a couple sweet ones, one for now and one for later...........
LOL! Yes, I know. Some states are more difficult (if not impossible) than others.

Great! I know you will do a great job of helping to present Delaware in a positive light. And, if we wait long enough, maybe, like California, Delaware will be blessed with her own "terminator" who will come along and clean things up. ;-)
Still looking for the pictures of the pooches, both of whom are currently surrounding my chair making it nearly impossible for me to move more than an inch or two!!! but in keeping with the theme of pets thought I would share this one. (which many of you have probably already seen)
We found these three cuties in the barn one morning last fall and promptly decided to allow them to call it home because the dogs never go near there. Well, the kittens discovered the dogs one evening after they had been here for about 2 weeks. These babies scared the willies out of the dogs......but sadly within about 2 days we never saw the kittens again.
Our daughter still begs us to get her a new barn kitten.
Glad to see you back on the beat! I'm really busy up here running the Bridge re-elect committee for Dubya. Millie and Spot are doing great work!
I got here a year ago last Sunday. (Darn squirrels!) The Bridge hasn't been the same since!
Don't forget, I have 10!
Love,
Weinie
What a bunch of cuties! All three of them!
Very cute, Giz. You and dutchess did good. Hope you and Rusty are getting along. I'd feel terrible if he ate you or something like that. :-)
(You'll be needing this next time) :)
Morning, you two - nice to see you both over here today! A fun thread that has nothing to do with the doofus! LOL! I will be SO glad when this election is over and we don't have to hear about john kerry "I went to Vietnam" anymore...and MAYBE no more about President Bush's phoney AWOL story ever again.
