Are you kidding? It took a chapter just to explain how it works in adding points. Although he got the qualified points, the May 72-73 and 56 points kill the excuse, because it looks like he was cramming from June to July '73 when in a month he equaled the same points as in a year. Nope. If it gets persistant, all he has to say is any one of the following:

"I served in the military 5 years and 5 days longer than John Kerry did in Vietnam."

"I never served in Vietnam, because people like Kerry and Jane Fonda were calling the brave men fighting and dying there baby killers. The war was winding down as was the draft and I wanted to honorable serve my country, and I did."
"Kerry, like U.S. Grant, prove that medals don't make either the man or a great President!"
He also served on active duty longer than Kerry.
