Well I am surprised...
I didn't think O'Reilly would give O'Neill a fair shake
I have no problem with O'Reilly's interview with O'Neill...
O'Reilly has been making excuses for Kerry for weeks.
Now he starts "telling it like it is"...
O'Neill certainly got a better "shake" than Chris"I joined the Peace Corps 'cause I didn't have the balls to join the Marine Corps" Matthews gave him!!! LOL
Semper Fi,
Kelly
What an intense interview. (sarcasm off)
BRAVO! My pet peeve.
O'Reilly had O'Neill on once before and did not treat him as well as this time. Don't you just love O'R when he gives Kerry the benefit of the doubt and says "so what" if he(Kerry) embellished his service.
O'Reilly is a buffoon.
First of all thanks for your service to our country. Second, I agree with all you have mentioned in your posts on this thread. I can sense the frustration in your posts and I would wager that you felt the same when Clinton was in office. I myself have a tendency to become extremely frustrated knowing that if the American populace does not start to see the socialist forrest for the liberal trees our children and grand-children will never know the meaning of true freedom.
Having said all this let me say I still have hope for America specifically for the reason there are people such as yourself all across this land.
As for myself I served in the USMC for 11 years and my son is now a corporal in the USMC. His words to me that he was willing to give his life for his mother, myself and countless other families in this country also gives me hope. Once again thank you for your service to our country and may God continue to bless you and yours.
O'Reilly had Gardner on before. O'Neill was well composed in the short time he had. O'Reilly had to admit truths while making it clear he gives any benefit of the doubt and a free pass on most everything to Kerry except for his treasonous behavior coming home. He seemingly wanted to have O'Neill be combative and, when he wasn't, Bill was sickening though semi-fair and methodical. Nothing new advanced except O'Neill got more air time and his credibility rises further & further every time he does so.
I agree with your summation BTTT
O'Reilly says he read the book and liked it - recommends it to everyone - good that he finally got around to reading it after branding the Swiftvets "immoral" and "liars" - helps to know what you're talking about before you run your mouth, O'Reilly.....
Bad link, use this.

Maybe we should tell them this. Especially when we call in.
My view is that the air time belongs to the citizens whom these broadcasters speak for. The broadcaster is not a businessman or a showman, but an articulator and educator for Middle America. Anyone who lets celebrity or monetary considerations eclipse this fundamental duty is second-rate.
These people hold a public trust, and should program accordingly!
I was thinking something almost identical to what you wrote! O'Reilly basically admitted that Kerry embellished his Vietnam service, and even agreed that Kerry then trashed his fellow soldiers once he came home. But we're supposed to just forget about all that, because it happened so long ago.
Further, O'Reilly didn't even seem to think any type of apology was even necessary, again, because it happened years ago!
O'Reilly doesn't seem to realize that this behavior represents the character of a man who may become President of the U.S.!!! Kerry's character is horrific!! And once again, O'Reilly did not treat John O'Neill with much respect, as he tried to diminish the points the Swift Vets tried to make in their book.
Yea and ya know the dirty little secret is that no one knows where O'Reilly was during the Viet Nam war???
O'Reilly called Kerry "honourable". Can he truly be oblivious to Kerry's Commie leanings, or is Bill just not walking with God in his heart?
Right on. And if I may add, O'Reilly is incapable of giving a really great man (John O'Neill) his due. Bill's insecurity and fragile ego get in the way.
O'R's past comments indicate to me that he is a Kerry supporter, big time. He always calls him a "stand up" guy for coming on his show, and has never questioned his character that I know of. The closest to negative he's come on Kerry is admitting that his research showed that Kerry was anti-war before he went to RVN.
They are both northeastern elitists, but O'R would not admit to that.
