Jimmy doesn't get it--Zell is first and foremost a loyal American!

Jimmy could schedule the White House tennis courts but he couldn't even grow peanuts.

Jimmy needs to go back and listen to Zell's speech....

"Now, while young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrat's manic obsession to bring down our Commander in Chief.

"What has happened to the party I've spent my life working in?

"I can remember when Democrats believed that it was the duty of America to fight for freedom over tyranny.

Carter still doesn't get it. He's still pushing partisan politics over the security of this country.

Maybe we could "assist" Mr. Miller with a letter to Jimmy, thanking him for his great works IE., September 7, 1977 - 27 years ago today "The Panama Canal Treaties, calling for the United States to eventually turn over the waterway to Panama, were signed in Washington"

How thoughtful - new the Chinese are in full charge - both entrances and in the middle! And, mostly Chinese businesses and personnel.

The hostages in Iran. Is detail on this required?

Remember interest rates? People were carrying 12 to 15% mortgages and seconds and credit cards were over 20%. Wasn't that fun - especially if you wanted to start a business or buy a home!

Should I go on?

"... and, as president, greatly strengthened our military forces and protected our nation and its interests in every way. I don’t believe this warrants your referring to me as a pacifist."

I would say appointing a self proclaimed pacifist, Stansfield Turner, as CIA director; a man who recalled all foreign operatives, even those under deepest cover; I would say that man deserves the title pacifist.

Years ago I respected Carter even though I didn't agree with his policies. Now I just think he is an bitter old shill for his party who has bought into his "stature" even though it is constantly wrong and misguided.

Go give your thoughts and letters to the French and the North Koreans Jimmy...they are the only ones who take your sorry ass seriously.

Perhaps more troublesome of all is seeing you adopt an established and very effective Republican campaign technique of destroying the character of opponents by wild and false allegations.

Stow it Carter. There's only one party that engages in this tactic and it's the democRATS.

It was the whole point of Miller's speech, you braying jackass.

John Kerry directly contributed to the lies of the anti war movement AND caused deaths and injuries
to US Military serving in Vietnam AND
directly caused deaths from injuries at home AND countless suicides because of his false testimony.

John Kerry is not fit to be elected dog catcher let alone President of the United States.
ANYONE who votes for Kerry AFTER knowing this data
is guilty of covering up John Kerry's war crimes!

John Kerry, director of the Vietnam Veterans against the War,
testified before special session the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
April 22, 1971

KERRY GAVE TESTIMONY BASED UPON FALSE INFORMATION
THAT KERRY KNEW AHEAD OF TIME TO BE FALSE!

September 6, 2004 -- **BREAKING** In Yesterday's Lies: Steve Pitkin and the Winter Soldiers, Scott Swett tells the story of a former VVAW member and participant in the Winter Soldier Investigation who states that John Kerry and others pressured him to give false testimony about American atrocities in Vietnam. After more than 33 years, Pitkin is the first Winter Soldier "witness" to file a legal affadavit regarding that event...

My name is Steve Pitkin, age 20, from Baltimore. I served with the 9th Division from May of '69 until I was airvaced in July of '69. I'll testify about the beating of civilians and enemy personnel, destruction of villages, indiscriminate use of artillery, the general racism and the attitude of the American GI toward the Vietnamese. I will also talk about some of the problems of the GIs toward one another and the hassle with officers.

-- Steve Pitkin, Winter Soldier Investigation, February 1, 1971.

I served in the navy from 1942 to 1953, and, as president, greatly strengthened our military forces and protected our nation and its interests in every way.

I was in the Navy while Carter was president. Carter did nothing for the military. In those 4 years, we had no cost-of-living raises (despite having record breaking inflation), no money for spare parts, no money for training. I don't know whose military he is referring to but it wasn't ours (good ol' US of A).

I contacted President Carter's office for comment and his press spokesperson Deanna Congileo told me that the letter was a private communication and that President Carter would not be issuing further comment.

So.... who sent it to the press? Zell or Jimmy? Or Kobe Bryant's judge's office assistant while accidentally hitting SEND via Email to the entire press corps?

Jimmuh Cartuh does to Zell Miller what the Democrats accuse the other side of doing to them. For Cartuh party comes before country. He has it so wrong. Country comes before party. If I saw a Republican who undermined this country to the same extent that a Democrat like Kerry did, I would vote him out of office, not because I put my party first but because I always put my country's welfare first. That is the first obligation of every true patriot. I might as well save the bandwidth since all of this is wasted on the current leaders of the Democratic Party. GIVE 'EM HELL, ZELL !!!

It was a loyal Democrat, Lester Maddox, who assigned you to high positions in the state government when you were out of office. It was a loyal Democrat, Roy Barnes, who appointed you as U.S. Senator when you were out of office. By your historically unprecedented disloyalty, you have betrayed our trust. Great Georgia Democrats who served in the past, including Walter George, Richard Russell, Herman Talmadge, and Sam Nunn disagreed strongly with the policies of Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and me, but they remained loyal to the party in which they gained their public office. Other Democrats, because of philosophical differences or the race issue, like Bo Callaway and Strom Thurmond, at least had the decency to become Republicans.

So let me get this straight. Lester Maddox was a "loyal Democrat" who, one must presume from the context of this letter, Carter is glad remained in the party; whereas Bo Callaway's philosophical differences "or the race issue" caused him to leave the party, to Carter's evident approval.

O-k-a-a-a-y.

"I, myself, never claimed to have been a war hero, but I served in the navy from 1942 to 1953, and, as president, greatly strengthened our military forces and protected our nation and its interests in every way."

It is always so terrbily sad to see the disintegration of a person's mind.

If Jimmah Carter truly believes that he "greatly strengthened our military forces and 'protected our nation and its interests in every way'", then I think the poor old senile one-term president needs to check himself into St. Elizabeth's hospital here in Washington, DC.
