Atop all of his other shortcomings and afflictions, Jimmah is now suffering from Zell shock.

I dont believe this warrants your referring to me as a pacificist. Someday, I'd like to meet Jimmy Carter, walk up to him, punch him square in the face, and then taunt him bu saying things like, "Whatcha gonna do now, Pacifist Boy? Huh? Gonna hit me back? Huh? Huh?"

"Bill, I have known you for forty-two years and have, in the past, respected you as a trustworthy political leader and a personal friend. But now, there are many of us loyal Democrats who feel uncomfortable in seeing that you have chosen the rich over the poor, unilateral preemptive war over a strong nation united with others for peace, lies and obfuscation over the truth, and the political technique of personal character assassination as a way to win elections or to garner a few moments of applause. These are not the characteristics of great Democrats whose legacy you and I have inherited."There, fixed.
...just addressed it to the right person.

Go find some communist dictator to snuggle up to, Jimmah!
That's what you and your "loyal" democRATs are intent on doing anyway.

How did the text of this letter end up in the media? Also, since when did the Bush campaign compare Max Cleland to Osama bin Laden? Looks like Dem spin to me.

Can't stand Carter - "the failed president."
I hope we Repubs never forget the limb that Zell went out on to help us. In addition to being grateful for such actions, we need to encourage them, and show they pay off. Let's not do what the Dems did to our own "Benedict Arnold" Jeffords.

Following Carter's "logic" (*ahem*), we would have to applaud the dolts who followed Hitler and condemn those who worked in the resistance at peril of their and their families' lives.
I am not biting into that cyanide pill.

I'll not argue with that, and I sure as hell do not intend to defend him, although I do remember Jimmah arguing
for the raise, but against any other appropriations for defense.
In spite of everything else the old socialist bastard was, he was for any thing that he thought was a give-away program.
I assure you of one thing, I have absolutely no regard for Jimmah Cottah; I think he's a socialist pinko and I still can't believe he was a nuclear officer in the US Navy.
For that matter, I can't see how the hell he ever got elected as Prez, since no one I've talked to since will admit to voting for him.

Let me boil this letter down so you folks can understand it.
Dear Zell. :
We made you boy. We own you. The Dems own me because they made me and they own you. Who the hell do you think you are that you can become a patriot overnight instead of a Democrat. There are no Americans only Dimocrats and Republicans. we'll get you boy,we'll break you.
I bet Jimmy had his Klan sheet on when he wrote this.

Open Letter to Senator Zell Miller
Dear Senator Miller:
As a former (and sixth (at least) generation native) Georgian, I write to you to support your recent statements at the Republican National Convention.
Like you, I believe the Democrat party has abandoned its historic principles.
I was especially incensed at President Carters recent personal letter to you in which he invoked the names of prominent Georgia Democrats of the past in an apparent effort to cause you shame.
You have nothing to be ashamed of. President Carters lousy record, in office and afterwards, should cause him shame. Alas, he seems shameless. I voted for the man twice, partly out of Georgia pride.
I believe that Hoke Smith, Carl Vinson, Walter F. George, Marvin Griffin, Ellis Arnall, and Richard Russell are turning over in their graves at what has become of todays Democrat party. They, like you, did not hesitate to call a spade a spade. Men of their stature applaud your speech.
I, humbly, add my own applause.

destroying the character of opponents by wild and false allegations.Jimmy seems to have no concept of the difference between facts and name calling, and what good is loyalty if it is blind?
The difference between Senator Zell Miller's list of Kerry's votes, and Michael Moore's (who sat next to carter in carter's presidential box at the democratic convention), Fahrenheit 911 is same as the difference between the history channel's Russia: Land of the Tsars and "SpongeBob SquarePants".
