This is the low end of the estimates, I've seen Russian reports of 260 missing and 600 possibly dead.

Then there was another explosion and then a firefight broke out. "I was sitting there with my face in my knees and my hands over my head. Then I turned my head and I saw our guys there, shooting. Three of them covered us while the fourth led us outside."

There were two stories on that link. Both called the murderers, kidnappers rather than terrorists. The media the world over continues to kiss up to them.

I can't believe after two days most if not all bodies have been recovered from the rubble. However, we all know the media runs on rumor and exaggeration, so whatever number of missing and dead is the greatest, that's the one that will be reported.

Pictures show nothing but empty space where the gymnasium used to be. However, I have heard that some of the terrorists hid in the basement and dragged the young girls off to other parts of the school for torture.

As at the WTC, a number of bodies just evaporated, leaving no identifiable remains. The true count will have to wait until all the affected families can compare notes.

Many bodies were burned beyond recognition. Unlike the US casualties are not counted until they are identified. That is why, in Russia, casualty figures tend to rise as time goes by in situations like this. The opposite is true in the US.
