Thanks for putting this up. As hard as 9/11 was, this in many ways is even more diabolical. The past few days I have had to make a conscious effort not to think about what just happened over there because I feel so powerless to help or change things and it is so upsetting. Those that lived through those hellish hours will have unbearable grief to live with the remainder of their lives.

Is there a place to donate directly to help those families involved in that indescribably horrific scene? I know of no other way to help, so I plan on donating.

I didn't find a direct donation link. The following was listed on the donation link to the orphanage. You might want to specify that the donation is for the orphanage in Vladikavkaz.

Firefly Children's Network
P.O. Box 21582
Washington, DC 20009

To donate by credit card, please call us at (202) 232-5706. We will ask for the following information: name, address, home or business phone, e-mail and credit card info.

I know what you mean. I have been sick and crying everytime time I look at those pictures and then think about my own two-year-old boy. Below is a link for a relief organization directly helping the victims in Beslar. I have just donated $ 200.
