It's Bush's fault!

I agree. We all have our thoughts about Clinton, but airing unfortunate statements simply make us look small. No, let them look small.

I have nothing to say on the subject of Clinton's medical needs.

Anybody who booed is a contemptible wretch, but I seriously doubt there were more than handful of them, if any. If there were more, you can bet we'd be hearing about it all week long from the MSM. Anything to make Bush look bad.

Oh mY word, that's an outright lie by AP, I did not hear anyone boo, if anyone did, it was drowned out by those who cheered. The president also mentioned the Russia situation and the hurricane headed towards Florida, and in all cases, the people cheered.

Clinton does not actually need the heart surgery. He actually told the his doctor he had a "shortness of breasts" and the Dr. simply misunderstood him.

The NY Times will headline it, "Bush Offers Best Wishes, Mentions 911."

I believe nothing the Old media says any longer. perhaps there were one or two boos, as there are a few people even here incapable of compassion. The press would most assuredly find them if they existed in that crowd. On the whole, from what people saw have said, Republicans acted as I would expect. With compassion for an ill soul. President behaved as I knew he would, with Christian charity and the crowd apparently took his lead.

I just sent the following e-mail to AP, and WTMJ radio in Milwaukee:

Hello,

This story:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040903/ap_on_el_pr/bush_clinton&cid=694&ncid=1963&sid=96378798

is an out-and-out lie. I listened to this entire speech on WTMJ, 620 am. When the President made his remarks about President Clinton, the crowd very politely, and loudly, applauded. I could hear not one boo.

I think you should correct your story, or listen to the tape. Actually, maybe not. I’m hopeful that many democrats read your story and demand to see it for themselves. Once they see that your story is false, maybe it will get through to them that your stories are not accurate.

Regards.

True, they would make sure to mention it.

But I can believe it, anyway.

I agree w/you, I'd hope they'd show more class. (To wit, if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all!)

Even tho I hate the SOB. I truly do.

there was absolutely no booing... i heard cheering...

Maybe reporters perceived that the crowd was cheering the fact that President Clinton had to have heart surgery and might die.

That's gotta be one of the all-time great lines Bush did nothing to stop them. The fiend!

I watched what the president said on cnbc which aired it live, I absolutely did not hear any booing, maybe the reporter did, but he certainly is ignoring the fact that many cheered when the president wished clinton well, w hich is all I heard.

I hope that people could be sensible and not actually boo when President Bush gives Clinton his best wishes when the guy is facing heart surgery.

No kidding. If true, it makes those booing no better than the leftist lunatics running through the streets of NY naked with "kill Bush" and the like on their signs.

God grant President Clinton a speedy recovery. In Jesus name, Amen.

Clinton was disappointed that 9/11 didn't happen on his watch. Clinton thought Reagan's death was a Republican campaign ploy.

Pardon my cynicism, but I think this is the Clintons' excuse not to campaign for John Kerry. Intentional or not.

Everyone says I don't believe the old media, and that is fine, but you can't be complacent when they report lies. There are still enough people that believe what goes out on the wires as to change public opinion. Lies like this should be confronted.

Bush's audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.

He can't. We live in a free country, remember? The 1st amendment? Hello?
