If there was anything out there, you can bet Ma Richards would have found it and used it.

You can be sure of one thing though: this is now a fight to the death; it's no longer politics; it's blood sport.

Yes, they are that desperate; and they'll lie to try to get the White House back.

I have heard that 60 Minutes is planning another segment on the National Guard issues.

The real question is, what can they come up with that they haven't already tried? Between the Hollywood commies, Michael Moore, and all the anti-Bush books, they've already taken their best shot.

Liberals dont know how to do anything else. Smear, attack, and do anything to dominate the topic, so that dissenting and damaging points cant be made..

Brinkley is the conduit for many of Kerry's self-fulfilling exploits in Vietnam. In other words...he's willing to publish a book full of lies.

I expect the sKerry campaign will go after the Natl Guard thing and...and...well...can't think of anything else.

Well, there is a new book coming out about the Bushies by Kitty something or other. However, on an MSNBC poll recently, over 60% of respondents said they don't plan to read it. If anyone wishes to get themselves sidetracked on gossip, they will miss the message of the Bush campaign. But of course, these are the folks that aren't looking for the platform anyway but are mired in middle school mentality or flipfloppery.

As if the media wasn't doing this already? I imagine that they will use some of Froggy Flynt's accusations etc. to go after the President. They will feel it is justified in light of Bush going after Kerry on his record, something the media sees as a personal attack. But, the undecideds will not see it that way, and it will create even more sympathy for Bush.

Honestly, the media doesn't realize that they are exposed. Everyone knows they are pulling for Kerry and personally attacking Bush will backfire.

Democrat MO - remember the drunk driving October surprise.

And in the same breath they'll b*tch about Zell Miller's "mean-spirited attacks" without a trace of shame.

Start? They've been hammering the President since he took office.

Beyond desperate.

Bush has been president for 4 years, and unlike Bubba, he's kept his pants on, shown respect for his office and dedicated his life to doing the job well. There is nothing they can bring up that isn't old news or completely irrellevant.

The personal attacks are coming and it will start with 60 Minutes on Sunday. I knew this was going to happen as soon as they brought Lockhart in.

I think the attacks will come off as petty and will turn people off in a big way. The President will continue to build on his lead and will be above the fray attacking Kerry's senate record while the Swifties continue to attack Kerry on his Vietnam record.

Yesterday morning, a guest (can't remember who) on the Tavis Smiley show was saying that the Kerry campaign is waiting until after Labor Day to begin its attacks on Bush, when the campaign season is going full-bore and people begin to really pay attention to the election. The guest said the Kerry people have compiled a lengthy list of Bush flip-flops.

These attacks will also not work because Bush has been in office for 4 years and will stand on his record in office. Nobody cares about what he did in the past. If Gore would have used this then it might have worked but it will not work now.

The great thing about this is that by attacking Bush on his military service, Kerry will continue to make his Vietnam service front and center and the Swifties will continue to run these tough truthful ads.

If they come up with anything, it will have to be current, and it will have to be a direct assault on his character. Last night people could see that he is a real guy - not some puppet of Cheney. That impression (that he is a real guy) will have to be destroyed for Kerry to be elected, because Kerry is not. Real, that is. Kerry, whatever his political views, is not likable. He comes off to everyone as a pompous, whining snob.
