Open the Book son!

God takes His right off the top:

I don't believe most of them. The others are either RINOs or the few real conservatives.

The one positive thing I can say about Marilyn is that he did "Sweet Dreams Are made Of This" the way it should've been done.
I loved the Eurythmics version but Manson really did it sinister justice....:)

[Alice Cooper's still the one and only]...LOL!

But it's not an excuse as far as Pat Boone is concerned. He is a very talented man, just not your style. He doesn't have a dirty mouth or mind and was not interested in being cast in movie parts contrary to what he believed in real life, which in and of itself is limiting in the Hollywood tradition. He does have a pretty good sense of humor, though. Maybe you're too young to remember, but he attended the Grammies some years back all dressed up in black leather and (faux) pierced earrings to promote a CD he recorded w/Alice Cooper. It was a spoof and pretty funny to see him making fun of his "persona", as it were.

Having seen him in concert in person, I can tell you that man knows how to "work a crowd" and puts on a pretty good show. Now, be nice. We probably wouldn't like everything YOU like.

Fair enough. No one lasts 50 years in show biz without being able to put on a good show, and I don't think that Pat Boone is singing the blues because of a failure of his singing career.

What he's specifically complaining about is his acting career, about roles that he says he was perfect for, but which he didn't get. And he's blaming his politics for that. What I'm saying is that Boone has a very certain public persona, "Mr. Goody Two Shoes." You can cast him straight, as Mr.G2S, or you can cast him ironically, but that's about the limit. Either way, you're playing the Pat Boone card. He's not a good enough actor (that I've ever seen) to transcend his public persona. In short, he's always Pat Boone, not the character.

But you have to admit, his version of "Tutti Frutti" is pretty pale compared to the original.

The only good thing I can say about the Abu Ghraid exploitation by the leftist media is that they stole Michael Moore's thunder. He had acquired similar footage and the "shock of the new" just wasn't there. I would call Mr. Moore an accomplice to the crimes for obtaining such footage; did he offer it to the government to make a case in the prosecution of the men? Did the men in the footage provide it to him (as the man did who leaked the Abu Grhaib images)? Was it illegally copied from government evidence?

I don't know which way they [Fleetwood Mac) swing politically but I saw them in concert recently and I was so thankful that not a word was said about politics...was good enough for me...I don't care who they vote for...just don't talk about it--entertain me--that's what I pay for.
