GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Sorry but they came off like a couple of dopes...
Sometimes children should be seen and not heard.
Laura was great though
Considering they are 22 years old and not actresses, they did a terrific job. I would have been scared to death to be speaking before millions.
I thought they were fine, and funny.
They took a risk with the twins and it didn't work.
I'll tell ya what...I'd give anything for a date with either one of those girls...
If somebody could "speak" or "relate" to the MTV pinhead generation, wouldn't you have to be a little non-serious?
Unlike the Kerry daughters are "serious" bores.

It was cute. They're not stand-up comics, so we can't really judge their performance against professionals. I thought it was charming.
I don't think it worked either.
They truly represent the young, college kids of their day. A lingo & humor all their own. Much of it stemming from the movies they watch -- which appeal to their age group.
I'm 27, male, in love with the twins, think they are ditzes, yet they are funny.
I bet they've scored major points with the 18-30 crowd judging by the horror/consternation of all the old fuddy-duddies on FR and on the networks.
They were a hit-- big time.
I thought they were a little silly, but I loved the hamster story--"We had a hamster too...Let's just say he didn't make it." LOL!
Well, Jerry Falwell was impressed.
Wow. Looks like people either loved or hated the twins. I thought they were cute, though I didn't care for the "Sex and the City" joke. Barbara is absolutely gorgeous.
They wern't on all that long and it was a break with all the 'serious' politics. They are real people. Didn't seem like they were acting. I think they made a point.
After reading Freeper reaction to the Twins' 'performance' tonight both on the LIVE thread and now here, I have just one comment: It's obvious to me that many of you have not spent ANY time recently on a high school or college campus!!!
The Twins' were NOT speaking to impress the over 25 crowd; they were speaking (authentically) to the 18-24 year old demographic -- not a group that typically votes Republican!
I gauged the Twins success by monitoring the reaction of my teenage son and his friends -- who, by-the-way, are considered the coolest of the cool at their Catholic high school! Bottomline: They were so impressed with the Twins (HOT!) that they decided to watch the First Lady's entire speech! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! [Two of the guys who were leaning toward Kerry are now leaning toward Bush (my son will make sure they vote the RIGHT way). Why the change? The Twins convinced them that Republicans aren't the clueless nerds they thought they were!!!]
I'll cut them some slack, but I kept on waiting for them to say, "And the nominees for the best pop video are...."
