I disagree. Dubya has always been at his best when Karen has been directly involved. When she left, his speeches went downhill, the communications went to hell, and GWB seems almost lost without her. They've been a team for a long time, and when she went back to Texas, it showed.
Don't get me wrong. I think she's great at directing the message behind the scenes and she's great on camera herself.
I just think she underestimates the hatred people like the NYT and Couric et al have for this President. They can twist a question and an answer to make anybody sound like they said something they didn't mean.
GWB's too honest. And too nice. And too trusting sometimes. And they clobber him in those settings.
I agree but isn't she back on the road with him?
