[Would it have been better for this President who is constantly accused of being right wing religious nut to send out two 23 year old girls acting like they were 40 somethings, droning on and on about policy or causes.]
................

Zackley. Lot of good Amy Carter's & what's-her-name Gore's political gravitas did their fathers.

The girls at my daughter's sorority loved them and thought they were cute. The guy's at my son's fraternity absolutely loved them. They could have said mush and the guys would have thought they were wonderful.

That's the demographic that counts.

Thanks.

Times are a changing. Remember when our parents didn't approve of our music or culture.

Yes. And they were right.

They plugged 'sex in the city' woopee and made stupid jokes. I have a 13 year old that makes more sense than they did and is more mature.

It might be time to adjust that stick up your ass.

I do not think you can compare 30 something women who went to the best private schools against 20 year old women who went to public schools. Just my thought. I loved them.

Wondered where you were. Someone on another thread said that Chris Matthews said "God Help John Kerry", referencing that no one at the dem convention matched the speakers we've heard these past two nights.

He's even brought out the Inca-numbered slide rules.

Killer stuff - ROFL! A line from "Heartbreak Ridge" comes to mind when I think of Tom having marital relations with his spouse, but it would mean the end of my account here if I related it.

Laura is better than Teresa --we know that.

Please don't link yourself with us that truly respect President Bush and his family.

The twins are good time girls-- not Mensa members-- and we know that.

WE know this?? I know very little of these girls except what the press chooses to report. If you have some actual facts...please post it.

The election is serious business

The election is serious business

BUT

McCain had his fun with Moore

Guiliani had his fun with Edward's Two Americas and lots of other zingers

Arnold basically called Kerry a "girly man" and everybody roared,

so I don't think we can chastise the twins for using humor. Besides their purpose was not to state any policy, just to introduce their Dad. (you gotta admit the hamster line was priceless)

Precisely the other way around. You and the rest of the twins-walk-on-water crowd think they can do no wrong.

I don't expect perfection. I just hoped they wouldn't be an embarrassment. I felt they were.

Look, when my favorite sports team has a lousy game, when they're just "off," I can admit it. It's called reality.

Giuliani would never have a pro-abortion litmus test for judicial appointments. but Hillary would, 100% guaranteed.

For everyone who's trashing the Bush twins. Just remember this.

Compare W's children to Ronald Reagan's, and get some perspective.

Jim Angle just reported that "experts" believe that if the Prez can get more than 40% of the Hispanic vote in CA he could very well WIN the state. Arnold has a 50% approval rating in CA among Hispanics and a 65% rating overall, and his terrific speech tonight could very well turn out to be a determining factor.

CA has a GOP voting history -- the Republican nominee has won 6 out of the last 9 races there (although they've lost the last 3). Time to turn it around.

The only thing I watched of Matthews show after the convention coverage was when he polled the four at the table on who had the best speech of these 2 mights. Votes went 2 to Rudy and 2 to Ahnold. Then he asked was ANYONE at the dems conv. as good as the pubbies. One said Edwards, but then said, "I'm one of only 9 people who remember what he said." Haha

Either some of these people led some pretty dull lives or have short memories and don't remember what it was like to be in their early 20's. Hope my kids take me out and shoot me if I ever sound like some of these people! Stuffed shirts if you ask me.

I've seen these types of Freepers for years. I refer to them as "Hard-ass" conservatives. When they aren't pretending to be John Wayne on the frontier ("Well pardner, when I was a young'un, I was workin' 17 hours a day in a coal mine, and I was thankful for it") they're being humorless crumudgeons. Also completely rigid, compassionless, and unforgiving in character, they feel that anyone who doesn't live life according to their perception of what a pure conservative is, and doesn't do so 24-7-365 is ripe for insults.
