President Bush is in my township tonight on a somewhat stealthy visit - arrived at Harrisburg International on Air Force One around 7 pm. - then a PA State Police motorcade to a local park for a private picnic/softball game - he will be speaking to the RNC from there by satellite link shortly, I guess right before Laura speaks.
It has been amazing listening to the scanner as Air Force One approached the airport (I saw it passing majestically through our valley on final visual approach in the late afternoon sun), and then as the PA troopers organized and conducted the motorcade, clearing all traffic, even from Turnpike overpasses, and dealing with various potential threats - recently they arrested a "suspicious person" on or near one of the overpasses.
