It is frustrating to me that ruthless persons have hijacked the Democrat Party, and they act completely shamelessly in so many ways.

I disagree with the above portion of your post. The Democrat Party was never "hijacked", it's always been the chosen path of the politically ruthless and those with self serving ambition, like Kerry.

You are young. R.Reagan was a democrat originally. Z.Miller is a democrat still. E.Koch is a dmocrat. It was an honorable party at one time.
