It's also interesting to watch responses from those who NOTICE the TV camera----some shout "ABC Sucks", and some shout "FOX Sucks".

Watching C-Span. This nation is so great! It allows dissent. It even allows hollow headed loudmouths to demonstrate their imbecility in public without interfering.

If these protesters ever succeed in establishing a totalitarian Marxist and/or Islamic police state here, remind me to try and look for the humor when the agents of the government they love so well round them up and silence them. The country will be unified then all right. We will all be weeping together--both they and we.

"History is not just cruel. It is witty."
~Charles Krauthammer~

President Bush is right. Be happy that they can protest.

Also note that President Bush never attempted to silence Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Barbra Streisand, or any of this critics, no matter how outlandish, bizarre, or viscious their attacks on him. As President of the U.S., it is his responsibility to protect the rights of citizens, and he does.

Contrast this with Sen. Kerry, who not only attacked his fellow veterans and servicemen in the 1970's, accusing them of atrocities and war crimes, but also is attacking them again right now, accusing them of lying and calling upon the Attorney General and the President of the U.S. to silence them.

President Bush has handled the enormous power of his office with honor, restraint, and generosity. These are the marks of a great man.

Notice how Sen. Kerry has reacted. Imagine how he would behave if he had such enormous power...!

The gathering of New York's riffraff. Amazing how so many of these people use the demonstration to further their baby-killing cause they call "choice".

They can't all be NY'ers. Many years ago I participated in an Armed Forces Day parade along B'way, there was hardly anyone there for that event. By the way, NYC people aren't for patriotic parades any longer. That died out in the 50's. The marches today only appeal to be for the free stuff from the gov't. crowd.

As a Californian I'd like to say a comment that paints the entire population of the state with such a broad brush is a bit unfair.

Be that as it may, I have a burning question: How on earth do these protestors get a week off work, have the money for a trip to NYC, find a place to stay, take care of their personal needs assuming they're sleeping on the streets (if you know what I mean) and so on. Who wouldn't love to have time and money to take a trip to NYC? I sure don't get it. Are these folks on Welfare? Disabled? Or in someother way on the tax dole? Makes me crazy just thinking about the logistics of this outrage.

90% of the protesters I heard on wabcradio.com or on C-span were not Ny'ers.

I've been feeling the same way for about 2 months now, even before the swift vets kicked in. Although the polls show otherwise, I think that when it's all said and done Bush will win by a landslide.

They're chanting "FOX NEWS SUCKS" and "FUCK FOX NEWS" because right in front of the Garden, where the CSPAN cameras are, is a HUGE billboard for FOX News. It's awesome! I saw it last weekend when my wife and I went to the hotel across the street from Madison Square Garden to hand-paint signs that will be used during the convention.

Most NYCers are liberals (~85% of the population is registered Democrat in NYC)), and liberals don't like the military, hence the low turnout for the Armed Forces Day parade.

As much as they hate Fox, I am starting to get annoyed with them. They are pandering to the left. I.E., O'reilly,Wallace, etc)
