'V' for valor or Kerry's version?

Of the many charges against John Kerry's Vietnam record made by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the Kerry campaign has managed to keep Mr. Kerry's Silver Star story above water. Chicago Tribune editor William B. Rood came out last week as an eyewitness to the events of Feb. 28, 1969, bolstering Mr. Kerry's version of events, as have official Naval records. Though Mr. Kerry has had to backtrack on at least two of his accounts -- the "Christmas in Cambodia" story and whether he really deserved his first Purple Heart -- the day when Mr. Kerry beached his swift boat and tracked down a Viet Cong soldier seems to have withstood scrutiny.

These inconsistencies are what is killing the Kerry campaign. John Kerry can't answer these questions because he knows in his heart of hearts that they are lies. He will continue to try to deflect the scrutiny toward the messenger instead of the charge. Just as he will continue to claim the Bush Campaign is behind these honorable veterans who have earned the right to be heard.

Kerry says that all of his military records are posted on his web site but there is a two year gap in his reserve duty. From 1970 to 1972 Kerry was in the reserves and required to make meetings yet there is no record of him ever showing up or even being assigned to a reserve unit. Where are those records Mr. Kerry?

LOL, Sometime or another, John Kerry will have to answer the claims of the Swift Boat Vets. The mainstream media has been carrying his water so far, but those days are gonna end soon.

The fact is that the Swift Boat Vets have exposed the Christmas in Cambodia story as false, as well as the circumstances surrounding his first Purple Heart and his account of what happened on the day he received his Bronze Star. John Kerry lied about these three events and that is why his campaign has backed away from them. Plus we have the problem with his DD-214 and why it shows a "V" added to his Silver Star, as well as an explanation for why his Medal Citations were altered 14 years after he received them.

250 Swift Boat Veterans didn't come forward because they enjoy having the democrats and their "Dirt Devils" combing through their life history in an attempt to discredit them and their noble service to our country. They came forward because they felt it was their duty to defend those who gave their all in Vietnam, only to be smeared by an opportunistic pathological liar who has gotten where he is today on the blood spilled by those he spit on when he came home from his 132 days in Vietnam

The real problem is the DD215 the correction to the DD214 that was released 3/12/2001 does NOT fix the mysterious combat "V" on the Silver Star, and gives his a Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars! He should only have 2 Bronze stars! this man is a total FRAUD! NOT ONE SCREWUP THAT CAN BE SAID IS A TYPO, THIS IS A CORRECTION AND THE CORRECTION IS SCREWED UP!

I agree, John Kerry should be stripped of the medals he didn't earn and be forced to apologize for gaming the system and for slandering all those who served honorably in Vietnam

Well, he need to do something, having fasle documents on your website WHILE running for office! as far as i can tell the DD214 looks old can you find a date on it? The DD215 is from 2001 and doesnt fix the DD214 "v" then ads more lies with the vietnam medal with 4 bronze star's that he should only have 2

Just a quick note to second your "Thank God for the Swift Boat Vets"! In my opinion, God gave us the perfect man for the job of fighting the terrorists when He put George Bush in office. And I'm also convinced that the SBVfT are just as much a gift from God. As a Christian I believe the Muslim religion is a false religion. The bible is chock full of stories recounting occasions when God intervened on behalf of those who believe in and trust Him.

Mr. and Mrs. Holzer bring up another interesting point. Over at JohnKerry.com, the Navy citation for Mr. Kerry's Silver Star does not mention the combat "V". It appears, then, that the Navy didn't mistakingly grant a "V" with Mr. Kerry's Silver Star. So, how did it get into Mr. Kerry's DD 214? .... ***
