Why don't 254 veterans, who served this country, have a right to speak out? They have something to say, but John Kerry doesn't want to hear them.
Do you mean to tell me that Mr. Kerry's four months as a decorated soldier - a man who never spent a day in an infirmary, never missed an hour's duty, and never had more than a band-aid to cover a wound - is beyond reproach?
Bob Dole was absolutely right: "Where's the outrage?" That brave man in WWII laid in a field for nine hours nearly bleeding to death, while it's not even documented that John Kerry spilled a drop of his own blood in Vietnam. The bar for heroism was lowered dramatically from one war to the next.

Do I understand correctly that Messr. Kerry gained 3 purple hearts in 4 and a half months without spending a minute in the hospital?
If so, that one line will sink him. It does not compute.

He can't. He's a pussy. Always was. Always will be.

He'll have his wife pay them off just like she does the Tides freaks.
That's how he'll have them taken care of.
Too bad, that is a great plan, that he won't use, that wouldn't work anyways.
But it's better than what he has offered to anyone.

Yep,All in 4 1/2 months with NO time in an infirmary/no lost days at all. That's gonna hurt him, then.
That just won't sit right with anyone, once it really sinks in.
To: Dominic Harr
It's been out there for a while now.How long will it take to sink in?
And Kerry is claiming that he did TWO TOURS OF DUTY,because he was first on one kind of boat and then with the Swifties. All in all,he wasn't even overseas longer than 6 months.A tour of duty is 1 year;two tours would be 2 years.

It's been out there for a while now. No, that detail isn't on the evening news, I'm afraid.
The D faithful don't know this, yet. They believe it isn't true, none of it, it's all lies, damn lies.
Thier media sources are saying it's all slander, without ever repeating the charge.
To: Dominic Harr
I don't watch network news,so I don't know what they say.

If so, that one line will sink him
Well, sadly, it has had no effect so far. It's been readily available (albeit not widely disseminated) to the public for quite a while now, and nary a recrimination from the Kerry camp, requested or otherwise. Given that the press backed a president who "loathed" the military, we shouldn't be too surprised.

The actual substance of the charges aren't out there yet.
But they will be . . . if I read this right.
3 medals in 4 months with no serious injuries . . .
To: Dominic Harr
No, that detail isn't on the evening news, I'm afraid
Another example of responding before finishing a thread....It's not on the evening news, but that won't change. The press could never report that detail pejoratively. Aside from a few FNC employees, there aren't enough reporters with military experience to understand its significance.
Yes, I agree with your democratic faithful comment. This morning, after winding down a few days of slots with my dad, uncle, and granddad, my father (a retired USAF full bird) told me that he will vote for Kerry simply as a vote against Bush. I had neither the will nor the inclination to question him on that subject.
I hope it's not indicative of veteran sentiments.

Yep,All in 4 1/2 months with NO time in an infirmary/no lost days at all. Strictly speaking, 4 were for events that occurred between February 20 and March 13.
The fourth(the PH "won" on Dec2) had already been rejected by Kerry's superior at the time, and was awarded on paperwork submitted to a different superior, in a different area, possibly after Feb 20.
so All in 3 weeks even.

I've been out of the Nat'l Guard for nearly 20 years, and don't keep up with any of the old friends, I'm afriad. I don't know any military ppl personally any more.

How can one soldier come back from Vietnam in 1971 . . . spit on thousands of soldiers, and then spit again on 254 who choose to stand against him? BTTT

so All in 3 weeks even. I bet that's the elephant in the living room, then. That's what's got Kerry all spooked, why he's come out swinging against all this, then.
He's trying to keep that detail out of the press, so he's gone on a media offensive.
And that kind of thing *always* fails. Mr. Reagan was the master of the correct response -- ignore them, and push your agenda. By responding, you allow your adversary to frame the debate.
Kerry should have done what Bush did about "Farenheit 9/11". Ignore it.
