The main reason the right is so fearful of the left is because the left has had a virtual monopoly on the "mainstream" media in this country for so long. Control of information is the real power in this country. All that is starting to change with the internet and talk radio. The leftist stranglehold on the truth is finally being broken.
And, I, did not even realize that the left had the media all those years before the Bush/Gore election. A perfect example of the typical voter getting their news from a supposed unbias source - the regular media.
I felt this was a rather new "coming out".
