Ping to Thread Eighteen!
I’d like to take a quick moment to thank JustPiper for everything she has done to keep the Threat Matrix alive and well over the past several months; I know we have all enjoyed her vigilance and care. I’ll say it again, The TM ‘legacy’ is yours JP. And to Kinetic, the transition in thread creation could not have been smoother. Thanks much, for your gracious efforts and wonderful coding.
While working on thread 18… as I was looking back through threads (and reading posts from around Christmas/New Years and February), I reflected on just how long this process has been ongoing now. Some of us have read every post since day 1. Many, if not all, have contributed in meaningful ways. If it was not for Freepers like Tubavil, TheCabal, Mossad1967, and Revel, we would likely never have seen the TM come to where it is today. The ranks have changed to some degree since day 1, but the thread is as strong as ever.
We appear to be headed towards another tense time as the election approaches, it is more important than ever for us all to come together as one. There are several folks included in the ping list that have not posted in some time, and likely others who I have forgotten. I urge everyone to return and help in the effort, several of you are sorely missed on a day to day basis.
I have highlighted a few posters on the ‘index’ post and would love to be able to add more. If you have or find something you feel is worth highlighting -please- let me know.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Michael Stowe, 31, was killed Monday when his Honda Accord was hit head-on by a truck. The accident happened on Highway 55 near Old Jenks Road in Apex. Chikele Gideon, the truck driver, is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. He was working for Stock Building Supply at the time of the acccident.
Gideon is well-known to immigration officials. In April 2002, he was arrested on charges for overstaying his visa. At the time, Gideon was living in Apex with Issaya Nombo, a pilot who was believed to have been linked to al-Qaida through some paperwork found in Afghanistan.
Nombo was eventually deported. Immigration officials said Gideon was supposed to leave the country, but did not."

Hi Everyone. I'm still with you all in spirit but I have not time to keep up considering how fast the TM moves. I get though with this next project and things should calm down around here.
