There is a serious secession movement in Hawaii aimed at indegenization and possible independence. I'm okay with Hawaiian secession. So long as we get to keep the military bases and have veto power over their foreign policy.
We can pick up Alberta as a replacement state and we'll see a 4 Senator Republican gain in the Senate.

Forget the fact that Hawaii was ruled by a Queen, i.e. the embodiment of a repressive, antiquated, monarchical system of governance; Lili'oukalani had dark skin, therefore she is to be celebrated by ignorant socialists, who have no consistent ideology, other than opposing the status quo. Black socialists in Africa (and this country) have latched onto Shaka Zulu as a symbol of proleterian anto-imperialism. Of course, they don't get the he would be considered a reactionary by today's standards and that he practiced quite a bit of his own imperialism.
