Wasn't it Samuel Clements who said that if you never lied, that you didn't have to keep track of so much? ..something like that.
Kerry's in a bad spot. I hope he gets buried politically in the Nov election, but I sit here trying to figure out how to get out of this pickle, and all I can figure is to just stick to the lie, and pile on the spin. ...which seems to be exactly what he is doing.

the problem is that the big media, and the leftists, are expending a lot of effort in keeping this guy afloat... they are looking more and more like fools. there is a point at which the hypnotised sheep start looking up from their daily lives and questioning things.
with Dole joining the fray, more and more of the sheep will start doubting the media line: this translates to a loss of prestige and power by the big media. they will not allow that to happen at some point, and watch them start to turn on kerry (newsweek looks like they just went against kerry w/ the bronze star story for example)

But second runner up: Unless a man feels he has a good enough memory, he should never venture to lie. - Montaigne 1533-92
First runner up: Any fool can tell the truth, but it requires a man of some sense to know how to lie well. Sallust 86-34BC
And the winna!: A liar should have a good memory. Plato 427-347 BC

And do your best to discredit the messengers ...which also seems to be exactly what he is doing.
