I can't help but contemplate how first addressing the medals and his service in Vietnam and how he's wrapped himself in that aspect only underscores the treachery of his later actions condemning his "band of brothers" and his own country.
Is his campaign going to call this a lie? Kerry's own words? Was he lying then or will he stand by them today?
Kerry could take the time to specifically address the charges by the Swift Boat vets. He has not done so because he cannot. Instead he will do what the DNC always does - attack the messenger. And then the timing.
And has it not dawned on Kerry that he is attacking a group of people who are at least as decorated as he is? So we can't question Kerry but should question the Swift Boat vets?
