Ec 9:11 I turned me to another thing, and I saw that under the sun, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the learned, nor favour to the skilful: but time and chance in all.

So are they trying to pass off their campaign website "documents" as the official version, ignoring Kerry's refusal to sign the Form 180 that would allow total access to the real data? This will not fly.

Dumb strategy!

He's rattled and responding without really thinking it through.

Look at this quote, he can't even answer the allegations without dredging up Vietnam again:

"But Kerry had settled upon a strategy that he says he firest learned in Vietnam.

"When you're under attack," Kerry said in his speech yesterday, "the best thing to do is turn your boat into the attack."

Nothing about the Swift Boat Vets appeared in the _old_ media; no newspaper articles, no TV interviews, no magazine covers, no rock stars or Hollywood celebrities.

Just word of mouth, talk radio, and the _new_ media that is the internet.

Perhaps it is the beginning of the end for the elitist propaganda machine, and the rise to power of the a new, and free-er press...

Senator (Kerry) believed allegations could no longer be ignored

I LOVE how the 'non-partisan' media takes its cue from what Kerry thinks.

Lawrence O'Donnell gave out the RAT talking points last night: Kerry was doing rope-a-dope with the Swift Vets so he could get it all to this point where now he can bring W's record into this. All part of the master plan. Right.

LOL! "Facts and passion" are two traits that aren't associated with Kerry. He makes things up first of all and second, he has the look of The Lurch of the Addams Family. I have yet to see Kerry get excited about anything - he can't even energize his own base! Unbelievable.

Overnight, this new strategy by Kerry resulted in a hastily produced ad ...

Does the ad mention the Washington Post story? Had that story run before the ad was produced?

I find it quite interesting that on the day Kerry responds publicly for the first time, ALL of the cable appearances by the "dog hunters" were canceled "at the last minute". John O'Niell made appearances on O'Reilly, H&C, and Lou Dobbs and did his usual great job on all.

Jeffink: "Mr. Pwesident, Pweeze make them stop!"

Is this what to expect from a Jeffink admin? Whining crying and deceit[referring to missing documents from his website...]

Well, of course!

"When you're under attack," Kerry said in his speech yesterday, "the best thing to do is turn your boat into the attack."

Let's see, if Kerry would have done that in V.N. wouldn't Rassman have fallen into the boat?

Also, said O'Neill, Kerry closed the Democratic National Convention with a story in which he claimed that five swiftboats fled on March 13, 1969, after a mine explosion and only he came back to rescue Lt. James Rassman. His campaign now is admitting that he fled and the rest stayed, before he later returned for Rassman.

As excerpted from another post. Botox boy's got some 'splainin' to do to the American people.

RELEASE THE RECORDS, MONSIEUR KERRY!

I'm donating to the Swifties right now.

... swing voters think one of Kerry's core characteristics has been undermined

What is the Boston Globe talking about? Kerry has no 'core characteristics'!

"Then, Wednesday night, Kerry told his aides that he had to act. As he sat down inside his Louisburg Square home on Beacon Hill, Kerry scrawled two phrases on a yellow legal pad about his antagonists, a group called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. The group, Kerry wrote, was "a front for the Bush campaign" and "he wants them to do his dirty work"

Could this be more dramatic? I guess we are to believe the two who wrote this article were standing directly behind Kerry, reading over his shoulder. How else could they have read his "scrawling"?

And how flattering! Kerry was able to write these brilliant attack lines as he was in the process of sitting! What excellent butt, hand coordination he has!!

The questions for Kerry include:
1. Were you or were you not in Cambodia on Christmas eve of 1968? If you were there, who ordered you to go?
2. Who signed your purple heart authorizations?
3. Why did you turn on your country and your fellow soldiers in your "winter soldiers" campaign?
4. Why won't you release your military and medical records?

This article says that Kerry finally decided to confront his questioners. Too long had he kept quiet. Now we will finally hear the real truth. That truth as Kerry spoke it was, "Everything is Bush's fault."

From the article:

Aides to Kerry said he did not want to respond immediately to the swift boat group's television advertisement because he was in the middle of a cross-country campaign tour that featured a positive, introductory message emphasizing his biography.

That trip ended last Saturday, followed by four days of vacation in Idaho; he returned to the campaign trail Wednesday for a speech to the VFW, where he did not want the controversy over his Vietnam record to detract from his new attack on Bush's plan for redeploying 70,000 troops from Asia and Europe, aides said.

To quote a wise man: "Boy, is this great!"

Read the article. He was scared shi'ite-less by the bad press and had to run to MommaT and hide out. Yeah, THIS is a good indicator of how he'd act as CinC during the next attack.

The electorate is only going to get to know him better in the coming months. *giggle*
