Huricane party in hurrican proof house was camile I think, 1960ish, everyone but a small boy died and nothing but the houses concrete foundation was left.

1900 storm was Galveston, no one knew a huricane was comming, lot's of folk on the beach watching the "interesting weather" roll in. Close to 9,000 people died and Galveston to this day has never really recovered. Galvestion would have been "the Houston" of Texas were it not for the 1900 storm. All the investors left and build Huston (50 miles inland) instead.

No, the folks in Galveston in 1900 didn't even know it was coming, even the weatherman (Isaac Cline of "Isaac's Storm") had very little warning.

The "hurricane party" was in a motel or apartment complex over in MS when Camille hit, IIRC. Pass Christian, I think.
