I believe this is a real benefit for me, personally along with all my other brothers from 33 years ago. A good thing about Kerry making it the center piece of his campaign and bragging about being a hero, is that awoke many Vietnam veterans and now they are telling the story of Kerry and his lies to their kids, grandkids, coworkers, friends and neighbors. Many of us had never thought we would be able to rid ourselves of the scourge of his lies, and many hadn't discussed their feelings about it for many, many years.
I work with a democRAT who is in his 30's. He had no idea of what Kerry did in 1971. He wondered why I was sooooo angry at Kerry and I have been 'educating' him for the past couple months. He hasn't quit drinking the Kerry Kool-Aid just yet, but he has told me a number of times he has learned so much about the Vietnam veterans and what we went through. I think when the Swifties keep plugging and hopefully get on a broadcast network, many like him will come to distrust the FRAUD / TRAITOR.
I know many Vietnam vets that I work with who have regained some confidence that Hanoi John will be exposed since the Swifties started coming forward. It has help ease the knots in many of our guts.
As a Marine, (we are know to bash sailors), I can honestly say that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is the greatest bunch of sailors I ever saw! They make me VERY PROUD!
Any of you folks feel the same kinda effects?
Bingo. Kerry's candidacy is the last, great opportunity to overturn the Left's Big Lie about Vietnam and those who served there.
When I think of our service men and women in harms way I sometimes can't even speak as I get full of tears and I start to tremble.
I am 53 yo, former Firefighter.
They make me very proud!
I agree.
I think there are a lot of people getting an education about what the veterans of Vietnam have gone through and have had to put up with all these years from civilians, as well as those in government.
Puts a whole new meaning to Clinton's "loathing the military" quote.
Absolutely!!
That you and the Men for whom you speak are far better Men than John Kerry?... that you should be honored and respected for your service and sacrifice?... that what you were doing was right?
Yep! Pretty much. Thank you, Sir! ... All of you.
Mr(thrity-something)Atos
Yes! Kerry is wrong on so many levels, some of them much deeper and more important than this election campaign.
I hope you include hanoi john's abandonment of our POW/MIA in you education of your co-worker.
