Sanibel Island is completely empty, including fire and police.. no one is on the island at all.. Found that out from friends this morning.
you can be sure some residents are riding it out.
Wrong...there are at least 20 people on Sanibel/Captiva. One guy staying at the Tween Waters Inn was on the radio.
