Nightline just reported Emergency services simply can't even get into many areas in Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda. Wish I had better news for you.Sounds bad. This reminds me of Andrew. Initial damage reports weren't too bad, but that was because the most damaged areas of town were inaccessable. We didn't see outsiders to our block for 3 days, you simply couldn't get around except by walking through the debris.

The guy from the Red Cross said the damage was the third most costly, behind 9-11 and Hurricane Andrew.Said the destruction will be extreme.
