Any reports from Lakeland? Got a father-in-law and grandfather-in-law there....

Haven't heard reports about Lakeland--will listen up and let you know. Reports are always so spotty after dark. It's a long, frustrating wait to hear something. Hang in there.

Lakeland was about 25 miles west of the eye, one short report indicated little major" damage there, but lots of "minor" problems.
Make sense?
Region and neighborhoods and whole buildings weren't destroyed (most likely, as far we know) but lots of trees down and power lines down and still raining/flooding hazards. Roof damaged, signs down etc almost certainly.
but the storm is past them now.

See coverage in the Tampa Tribune
http://www.tampatrib.com/ Lots of pics and some unconfirmed reports of minor damage in Lakeland. Sorry, can't deep link but it's all there on the front page.
