I'm glad! Feel bad for the people down south with no warning and those that moved into the path of the storm in an attempt to escape it.
We've got some rain, a little wind, but nothing like it could have been.
Plus they're talking of deconstructing emergency team by midnight, so my hubby will be back home tonight instead of having to be downtown for a couple days.
Irony, MIL;s retirement home evacuated to Sarasota from St. Pete Beach, now Sarasota will get storm worse than us.

Yeppers, we will get our fair share of blizzards, snow and ice this winter. Heck, toast an extra one for the folks in the Sunshine state. Hopefully they will do the same for us in mid-January! God-speed to all Floridians.

I think the Fort Myers Beach Cam just folded up. I was watching it- it looked like it tuned over or wrenched loose and then-- blue screen.

That's what I'm seeing. No landfall. The eye didn't cross Sanibel or Captiva Islands.
