Limbs down in that camera view.

Bird bath full, but not knocked over (yet.)

thank you, sir, for that information about Bradenton. I DO have a Mapquest map, but it doesn't begin to show all I need to know. You've helped a lot.

Ok, this is a little off topic but I was just watching Fox and they had some guy reporting from Florida. The camera guy was panning about apparently showing the damage, but I couldnt see a damn thing because the video was pixelated and jittering all over the place.

I see the same thing when they report from Iraq usually while in combat. What happened to regular camera's? Shouldnt video camera's quality improve over time instead of degrade?

I'm home!!! Safe and sound--everything--and I mean everything is intact, except the fax line, and I have been wanting to get rid of it anyway.

That big turn south of us saved us. Now I have to figure out how to put all the big computer fixings together. But first---most sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers and kind words of encouragement.

Tomorrow, will begin taking down the boards from the windows.

Just got word that Arcadia(sp?) got hit pretty good. There was a shelter that the storm hit, but no word in there were any injuries. People were taken to a second shelter...

That's so sweet! But I'm not the One responsible for the weather. I can't take credit for that.

I gladly accept the prayers though!! :o)

Hmmmmn.

Just south of Fort Meade now.

Next up is Winter Haven, or maybe just west of there.

Still trending north-northeast ...

Aimed right at Disneyland and Universal Studios on the southwest corner of Orlando-Kissimmee.

So far, I am lucky, but the path of Charley is coming right at us...

We lucked out here in Venice -- the storm did that eastward jog into Charlotte Harbor and then headed Northeast, which had the eye skate by us by about 30 miles or so. Sanibel and Pt. Charlotte have been trashed, but their sacrifice saved an awful lot of real estate on the coasts further north.

I just was able to talk to my friend who lives in Orlando. She is getting wind (she was outside and I could hear it over the phone). She has bathtubs filled with water, and a walk-in closet cleaned out in case it gets really bad. She did not board her windows and now it is too late, she' bummed about that.

I told her we are praying for her and everyone in the path of Charlie. (Funny aside: her ex-husband's name is Charlie, you can only imagine the jokes that are coming out of that!)

Glad to be here, MOgirl

They are using a lot more of those Sat phone video set-ups...low bit rate equals lousy video (similar to 16k streaming on Internet).
