"Seared in my memory, seared!" Absurd, absurd! Liar! Liar! Liar! You mislead us! Mislead us! Mislead us!

I believe the politically correct way to say that is, "deny, deny, obfuscate, deny, deny, obfuscate some more, then when all else fails blame the vast right wing conspiracy

It is a catch 22. However after 35 years I suspect you can file a FOI for anything related to that kind of operation.
But Kerry has to PROVE he did it in January to be taken seriously, so if there is opsec he has the same problem.
One other angle is to see if Kerry had a TS clearance. I would doubt it after his anti-war speech at Yale. When I got debriefed at the end of my 4 years in the Navy, we were told what we knew to be secret had a life time of 7 years.

Richard Nixon (Jan 20, 1969)- "Wow! This Oval Office is cool! Hey guys, how soon can we send troops illegally into Cambodia?"

Staff- "Well Mr. President, I have heard there is one Swift Boat Captain that would be good to go tomorrow."

RMN- "Neat! Send him!"

No matter how they spin this, it comes out that Kerry is a liar.

If it was January, then he lied every time he recounted December, including before the Senate Committee.

If it was January, what happens to his CIA connection?

If it was January, it would be after the 20ieth, to get Nixon in office. Then, Nixon would almost immediately have to have the plans for the sending secret troops into Cambodia.

No matter how they try to spin this, the result is that Kerry lied -- either in version 1 or revision 2 or rewrite 3 or retelling 4, etc.

Nixon still wasn't president until the 20th.

I posted the same thing 32 seconds after you! I guess the South Vietnamese were shooting to celebrate Martin Luther King day in January.

Mebbbe it was Robert E. Lee's birthday? Seriously, even if it was Christmas, how many South Vietnamese would be in CAMBODIA celebrating CHRISTMAS in 1968? Granted there was residual French Catholic influence in South Vietnam, but ARVN soldiers drunk and celebrating a Christian holiday? Gimme a(nother) break.

The Brinkley piece for the NEW YORKER will now say that Kerry was not in Cambodia during Christmas, but rather in January, publishing sources tell DRUDGE.

Brinkley better have DOCUMENTS to back that up.

He's already had to "modify" this book about 10 times.

Further, Kerry clarified that his Cambodia experience was not "seared" in his memory but rather was "lightly braised" there.

LOL!

Holidays of the Vietnamese
Tet is a three-day holiday marking the New Year. Traditional concepts of ancestor worship, hospitality and friendship are meticulously reinforced through rituals and social customs. No one sweeps the floor during the first day of Tet for fear of sweeping out the good fortune.

According to the lunar calendar, the beginning of the year falls between January and February.

I believe it was April or early May of 1970. The Kent State riots of May '70 were in response to the incursion...

No, don't you get it he's had an epiphany, he was "over there" on Jan. 6 or one of those other 12 days.

Yes, and being a liberal it was his intentions that mattered.
