Cheneys Slam Kerry's Call for 'Sensitive' War on Terrorism
Newsmax ^ | 8/12/04

John Kerry has tried to act tough and avoid the fatal error of looking like wimpy Michael Dukakis, Jimmy Carter or Walter Mondale, but his call for a "more sensitive" war on terrorism is causing him all sorts of embarrassment.

"America has been in too many wars for any of our wishes, but not a one of them was won by being sensitive," Vice President Dick Cheney said in remarks prepared for delivery today in Dayton Ohio. "A sensitive war will not destroy the evil men who killed 3,000 Americans. ... The men who beheaded Daniel Pearl and Paul Johnson will not be impressed by our sensitivity."

Cheney said none of America's heroes would follow Kerry's advice.

"President Lincoln and General Grant didn't wage sensitive wars. Nor did President Roosevelt or Generals Eisenhower and MacArthur."

'So Foolish'

Kerry lacks "deeply held convictions about right and wrong," the vice president noted Wednesday during a forum in Joplin, Mo.

When a citizen asked Lynne Cheney "what in the world" Kerry was thinking about when he made the statement to a group of biased pro-Democrat media types, she replied:

"I just kind of shook my head when I heard that. With all due respect to the senator, it just sounded so foolish. I can't imagine that al-Qaida is going to be impressed by sensitivity."

Lynne Cheney has no idea what she's talking about.

Just ask Senator Patty Murray - Osama Bin Laden built daycare centers for the poor all over the Middle East. Al-Qaeda is all about sensitivity.

Kerry is just going to run a kinder, gentler kind of war. If that won't work, Edwards will sue the terrorist.

I heard this on the radio. I was wondering when the Bush camp would pick up on this. Good for Cheney! That should take the wind out of Kerry for awhile.

CHENEY ROCKS. I was hoping someone would pick up on this. They have to repeatedly drill Kerry on his "Sensitive" remarks. That's gotta be worth 3-4% of the vote. ho the hell wants a sensitive war on terror.
