...At the Democratic National Convention, Kerry said cancer patient Mary Ann Knowles was forced to work during her chemotherapy "because she was terrified of losing her family's health insurance." Not so, the newspaper found. Ms. Knowles actually had 26 weeks of paid disability but chose to work through her treatment. "In short, (Kerry) lied. Repeatedly," The Union Leader editorialized Tuesday. John Kerry has a widening credibility gap. He has some explaining to do.

But Kerry's credibility problem is not limited to his Vietnam experience. The Union Leader of Manchester, N.H., caught Kerry in a lie.

Don't these Democrats ever learn NOT to lie about cancer patients at their conventions? First Al Gore lied about vowing not to take any more tobacco money while visiting his dying sister at the hospital (he subsequently DID take tobacco money contributions). And now Kerry has been caught in another cancer patient lie. What next? Will Kerry claim he medivaced her aboard his Swift Boat to Cambodia in time to spend Christmas with her family?

You hit the nail on the head.
Skerry is just a lying braggart.
He doesn't understand that real heroes usually will talk only very little about their heroism.
They will talk about how their ship, platoon or flight
performed.

"Lie" is such a nasty word. What liberals do is synthesize PR.

Only Republicans believe in truth, and that means that only Republicans can "lie." And whether a given Republican deliberately misleads or not, liberals can "synthesize PR" to that effect - and in that case "Bush lied."
